Kevin French

Kevin French serves as the Director of the Division of Transportation and Engineering (T&E).

T&E is the civil engineering arm of the County and is responsible for planning, design and construction of transportation and drainage facilities affecting the County roadway system. The division oversees the safe and efficient movement of goods on county roadways by installation and maintenance of traffic control devices. T&E also inspects road construction by developers in new sub-divisions, and street cuts by utilities for compliance to County standards and approved plans.

Kevin started with the county in 1997 as the Traffic Operations Engineer and then served as Traffic/Transportation Engineer until 2007. During that time Kevin helped with a number of projects including Northwest Quadrant Feasibility Study, West Corridor Light Rail, I-70/SH-58 Interchange, Extension of Southeast Jefferson County Local Improvement District and implementation of the Traffic Signal System. Kevin returned to the County in 2010 to assume his current position.

Kevin received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming in Laramie. He brings a wide range of experience to Jefferson County having worked for Wyoming Department of Transportation, Denver Regional Council of Governments as well as in the private sector.
