• About Child Support Services

The mission of the Colorado Child Support Services Program is to ensure that all children receive financial and medical support from each parent. This is accomplished by locating each parent, establishing paternity and support obligations, and enforcing those obligations.

Jefferson County offers child support services to custodial parents, non-custodial parents, and legal guardians. Those receiving public assistance (cash benefits from the county) are automatically referred and a case is open for collection of state debt. Services are available regardless of income or financial status.

    Our services include:

    • Establishing paternity
    • Establishing a child or medical support order
    • Enforcement of a support order
    • Interstate enforcement
    • Modifying a child or medical support order
