  • Child Care Assistance Program 

     

    The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) is available to eligible, low-income Colorado families in need of child care services.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, applicants must be:

    • Parents who are employed
    • Parents searching for employment
    • Parents attending post-secondary education, (child care assistance may be provided to parents for up to 24 months)
    • Parents attending training for GED, ESL, or Adult Basic Education, (child care assistance may be provided to parents for up to 6 months)
    • Teen parents (up to age 21) in a high school diploma program, GED program, certificate, or vocational education program
    • Families receiving Colorado Works/TANF
    • Applicants must cooperate with Child Support Services  
    • Applicants must be residents of Jefferson County
    • Applicants must meet income standards

    The Child Care Assistance Program is available to eligible individuals regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religious, or political beliefs.

    Get started

    Step 1 – Complete an Application

    There are three ways to complete an application.

    1.)  Complete an application by contacting Aspen Family Services at 303-604-1043, x2828.

    2.)  Apply online using the Colorado Department of Human Services' Child Care Application Tool. View exit disclaimer policy page for links to third-party websites.

    3.)  Walk-ins are available at the Human Services Building, 900 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, CO,  Room 160, Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  No appointment necessary.

    • To apply, you will need:
      • Social Security numbers for all household members
      • Birth certificates for children
      • Proof of residence in Jefferson County
      • Proof of monthly income
      • Proof of child immunizations

    Step 2 – Attend a Child Care Orientation

    Orientations are held on an individual basis.  Please arrange your orientation by contacting Aspen Family Services at 303-604-1043, x2828. You will need to complete any requested paperwork and bring this to your child care orientation.

    Step 3 – Choose a Provider

    Once the application is received:

    • Eligibility is re-evaluated every 12 months.
