    American Job Center Helps Veterans Find Jobs


    The American Job Center is dedicated to creating job opportunities for veterans and their spouses and is hosting a multiple day event to get them back to work. Add-A-Veteran Academy will take place June 13, June 16 and June 17 and will help each veteran job seeker with resume and job search assistance. At the conclusion of the event, veterans will attend a hiring event with over 25 hiring businesses in attendance.

    Resume Review Lab - Friday, June 13th 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Bring your most current resume and receive one-on-one assistance.

    Job Search Tips - Monday, June 16th 8:00 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.
    Location: American Job Center, 3500 Illinois Street, Golden
    Learn how to market yourself with a top notch marketing plan. Hear critical information on surviving a career transition, how to “work” a job fair and the 10 top steps to a successful job search.

    Hiring Event - Tuesday, June 17th 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
    Location: Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, 4005 Kipling Street, Wheat Ridge
    A hiring event exclusively for our veterans. Xcel Energy, Manpower, NREL, Ball Aerospace, TerumoBCT, CAT, Jefferson County, Allied Barton, Surefire Medical, HomeAdvisor, Gunslinger Custom Paints and many more companies will be on hand, ready to interview.
