Re: Denny Neagle Pleads Guilty to Patronizing  Prostitute

On January 24 at about 4:00 p.m., the attorney representing Dennis E. (Denny) Neagle, Jr., DOB: 9-13-68, appeared in Jefferson County Court and entered a guilty plea on behalf of his client.  In spite of objections raised by the District Attorney's Office that this hearing should not take place without the defendant being present, a guilty plea was entered for Neagle through his attorney and he was immediately sentenced. Colorado Rules of Criminal Procedure do provide that in some misdemeanor or petty offenses, a plea can be entered without the defendant being present.

The guilty plea was to Patronizing a Prostitute, a petty offense, which carries a possible penalty of $500.00 in fines and up to six months in the county jail.  Neagle, who now lives out of state, was ordered to complete 40 hours of community service and was authorized by the Court to do that in the community where he lives.
