• Community Corrections

     

    Community Corrections screens and recommends placement of adult offenders diverted from incarceration, contracts with ICCS and Peer 1 for services, audits service providers and provides staff support to the Jefferson County Community Corrections Board and screening committee. Offenders referred to Community corrections must undergo a stringent multilevel approval process prior to acceptance and placement. Community Corrections provides:

    • Cost-saving alternative to incarceration
    • Structured environment designed for success of the client
    • Allows client to work, pay child support, taxes and restitution
    • Reintegrates offenders into the community and reunites families
    • Teaches re-socialization skills and social norm expectations
    • Provides a safe and secure environment for the client While improving public safety
    • Allows those with a criminal history a second chance at productivity
