 **Ownership tax starts to accrue from month of purchase.  It is also due for any time period the vehicle is unregistered, such as a renewal after the one month grace period.  It will show on your registration receipt as Prior OT.

Registration Fees:
Registration Fees (License Fee + Ownership Tax) are based upon the Year, Weight, Taxable Value and Month of Registration. Since these figures are not the same for all vehicles, this site cannot provide you with exact fees.  The License Fee is based upon the age and weight of your vehicle, while the age and taxable value determine your Ownership Tax.  The formula below can be used to calculate the Ownership Tax portion of your fees.

CLS / EM fee:  The $25.00 fee that shows as CLS fee on renewal cards (EM fee on registration receipts) is the emission testing fee collected when a mobile emission test (RapidScreen) has been accepted and processed as part of your renewal.
