Need Diesel Information?

Gasoline vehicles receive a 4 year exemption (from model year) and are categorized in two groups for the purpose of emission testing:

1982 and Newer
Require enhanced emissions testing every 2 years at Air Care Colorado stations.
For locations and hours of operation call 303-456-7090.

1981 and Older
Require testing every year at either an Air Care Colorado station
or an Independent testing station.
For Air Care Colorado stations, call 303-456-7090.

Newly purchased vehicles require a new emission test unless they have at least 12 months remaining on a 4 year exemption.
