The deadline to register to vote in the 2008 General Election is Monday, October 6, 2008. Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, 2008.
Voters in Jefferson County will have a choice of casting a ballot by mail, during Early Voting, which runs October 20 ? 31, or on Election Day at their precinct polling place. Voters registering after October 6 will be registered to vote, but will not be eligible to vote in the General Election.
Voters can register to vote, or update their voter registration information by visiting any of the County Clerk?s branch locations, or by downloading a voter registration form, both found at www.votejeffco.com.
?We are encouraging everybody who wants to vote in this election to make sure their registration information is up to date so they are eligible to vote in November,? said Pam Anderson, Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder.
