Re: General Election Early Voting and Mail-in Voting Locations and Times

The 2008 General Election is Tuesday, November 4, 2008. The polls will be open on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Early Voting:
Early voting for General Election voters in Jefferson County begins Monday, October 20 and runs through Friday, October 31. Early Voting will take place at the following locations from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday:

Jefferson County Administrative & Courts Facility

Arvada Motor Vehicle
6510 Wadsworth Blvd.

Evergreen Motor Vehicle
4990 County Highway 73

Lakewood Motor Vehicle   
2099 Wadsworth Blvd.

South Jeffco Motor Vehicle
6004 South Kipling Street #A

Early Voting will take place at the following locations from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday:

NORTH        
Standley Lake Library     
8485 Kipling Street     

CENTRAL
Belmar Library
555 South Allison Parkway

SOUTH
Columbine Library
7706 West Bowles Avenue

Early Voting will take place at all of the locations listed above on Saturday, October 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Mail-In Voting:
Mail-in ballots can be obtained by submitting an application form to the Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder?s Office. Forms are available at the Clerk?s office or at www.votejeffco.com.

If a voter would like thier ballot mailed to them, the deadline to submit an application is Tuesday, October 28. If a voter would like to pick up a ballot in person at the Clerk and Recorder?s Office, the deadline to submit an application is Friday, October 31.

Mail-in ballots may be dropped off at any of the following locations:
Arvada

8:00 a.m. ? 5:00 p.m.

Edgewater
2401 Sheridan Blvd.
8:30 a.m. ? 5:00 p.m.

Golden
911 10th Street
8:00 a.m. ? 5:00 p.m.

Lakewood
480 South Allison Parkway
8:00 a.m. ? 5:00 p.m.               

Westminster
4800 West 92nd Avenue
8:00 a.m. ? 5:00 p.m.

To date, over 190,000 Jefferson County voters have applied for a mail-in ballot. Ballots returned in the mail will require two first-class postage stamps.  Voters are encouraged to send ballots in as early as possible.
