Commissioner Kevin McCasky has been named the 2006 chairman of the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners. Commissioner Dave Auburn will serve as chairman pro tem.
McCasky was also elected chairman of the board of directors of the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Authority (LEA), and Auburn was elected as chairman pro tem. Clerk & Recorder Faye Griffin was appointed as secretary, County Treasurer Mark Paschall was appointed as treasurer and County Attorney Frank Hutfless was appointed as legal counsel for the LEA for 2006.
In other organizational matters, the following were designated to represent Jefferson County on boards and commissions:
Commissioner Jim Congrove:
Director, Rocky Flats Coalition of Local Governments and Rocky Flats Stewardship Council; Urban Drainage and Flood Control District Board; second alternate, Boundary Control Commission; alternate, Jefferson Economic Council; and, the Noxious Weed Advisory Board.
Commissioner J. Kevin McCasky:
Jefferson Economic Council; Boundary Control Commission; the Noxious Weed Advisory Board; alternate, Rocky Flats Coalition of Local Governments; and an alternate for the Denver Regional Council of Governments.
Commissioner Dave Auburn:
Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG); E-911 Board; first alternate, Boundary Control Commission; alternate, Jefferson Economic Council; and, the Noxious Weed Advisory Board.
The commissioners also designated the glass enclosures outside of Hearing Room One of the Administration and Courts Facility, 100 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, as the location for posting official notices and agendas.
