Voters who want to cast an early ballot in person for the 2008 Presidential Election have only one more week to do so. Early voting for General Election began Monday, October 20 and continues until Friday, October 31.
The Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder?s Office has eight Early Voting sites open throughout the county where Jefferson County voters can cast their ballots. Unlike voting on Election Day, when voters must visit an assigned neighborhood precinct polling location, during Early Voting, any Jefferson County voter can visit any Early Voting site.
?We are continuing to encourage people to take advantage of Early Voting this year,? said Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder, Pam Anderson. ?Many voters like the convenience of casting their ballot early and avoiding the last minute rush on Election Day,? she added.
