Repairs to the Clear Creek Trail pedestrian bridge over 44th Avenue east of Golden have been completed and the concrete bike and walking path built by Jefferson County Open Space is now open for public use. Barricades will be removed on Wednesday, August 12.
The retaining wall repair will cause some temporary interruptions to trail users until the project is completed. The safety of the bridge was compromised in mid-June during construction of the State Highway 58 improvement project adjacent to the popular trail. The Clear Creek Trail connects the City of Golden on the west, through the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt and into Denver and destinations beyond.
