The Jefferson County Planning Commission will hold a second reading of the proposed draft of the updated Comprehensive Land Use Plan at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 7, in Hearing Room 1 of the Jefferson County Administration and Courts Building, 100 Jefferson County Parkway in Golden.
The Planning Commission, along with the county’s Planning & Zoning staff, is in the process of updating the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. This plan consolidates common policies from adopted community plans and sets a direction for future land-use decisions. The Planning Commission will take public comments, but will not make any decision about the plan at this hearing.
The draft plan is available for review on the county’s Web site at http://planning.jeffco.us under “Programs: Comprehensive Land Use Plan.”
Planning & Zoning staff will also hold open houses in mid- to late October to solicit additional public comments. Details about those meetings will be available soon.
