The Jefferson and Gilpin Counties’ District Attorney's Office is seeking volunteers to work with domestic violence offenders in their Misdemeanor Diversion Program. The Diversion Services Program provides supervision and services for felony and misdemeanor offenders.
This is an ideal opportunity for people interested in doing something about domestic violence in their community. Volunteers will be trained and the program operates out of the District Attorney’s Lakewood Office.
Requirements for volunteers:
- At least 21 years of age
- No criminal record
- 12 month commitment (minimum of 4 hours/month)
- Court involvement possible
- Good people skills
- A desire to work with people and make a difference
