Jefferson County, Co. – On November 1, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported disturbance in the 9000 block of West Cross Drive.
The victim, an adult woman, was found in an apartment by sheriff’s deputies. The deputies immediately administered first aid, and with paramedics from the West Metro Fire Department, were able to obtain life signs. She was transported to a nearby hospital were she was pronounced dead at 10:35 a.m.
An adult male was also found in the apartment. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital and is currently receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Sheriff’s investigators are hoping to interview him as soon as possible.
At this time the Sheriff’s Office has no indication of any third party involvement. Investigators are talking with neighbors and relatives in order to determine what led up to the death.
Additional information will be made available as the investigation unfolds. Identity of the decedent along with cause and manner of death will be released by the Jefferson County Coroner.
