Following three days of trial, a Jefferson County jury found the owner of a Westminster massage business guilty of sexual assault earlier this week. The jury deliberated just over two hours on December 10 before finding James Allen Narcy, 65, guilty of sexual assault of three women who had come into his massage business for therapeutic massage.
Narcy owns and operates JAN Massage at 8739 Sheridan Boulevard in Westminster. The jury found Narcy guilty of three counts of Sexual Assault, each a class four felony, and two misdemeanor counts of Unlawful Sexual Contact.
The investigation began when a 20-year-old woman went to JAN Massage after seeing a listing on Craigslist. The listing said the business offered therapeutic massages. She and two of her friends went to have a massage. Neither of her friends experienced anything suspicious during their massages. However, during her massage, this victim realized that Narcy was inappropriate in his “massage." She pushed his hands away several times, but he became more aggressive and she was afraid to do anything further.
Immediately following the massage, the victim told an employee of JAN Massage what had happened. The Westminster Police Department was called and they began their investigation. Narcy was arrested in March 2009.
Narcy has owned and operated JAN Massage for over two years. Prior to that time, the massage business operated under the name “Massage for Wellness." It is believed that Narcy worked there for three years.
Sentencing has been set for December 22 in Division 7 of the Jefferson County District Court. Narcy faces from two years up to lifetime supervision (sex offender probation or prison.
