Jefferson County Public Health held the second round of H1N1 school-located influenza immunization clinics today. The JCPH clinics were held at four different Jeffco School sites in partnership with the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) and provided free H1N1 flu vaccinations to all Jefferson County residents.
“This truly was a community effort with Jefferson County schools, law enforcement, public health and community volunteers coming together to vaccinate more than 8,300 men, women and children,” said Beth Lipscomb, JCPH Administrative Service Director. “We are proud to be part of such a monumental project to protect residents from influenza.” JCPH has now distributed 105,349 doses of vaccine via private providers and various clinics.
There will be four more school located clinics open to the general public on December 19, 2009 at Alameda High School, Arvada High School, Columbine High School and Evergreen High School. For more information please visit: http://bit.ly/clinics or call 303-232-6301.
