Re: Jefferson County Sheriff conducts DUI checkpoint
Jefferson County, Co. – On Saturday, June 19, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a DUI checkpoint, along with added saturation patrols over the weekend.
The checkpoints will begin at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, and conclude at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 20. These times were selected because a high percentage of all DUI arrests made by Jefferson County agencies take place during these hours.
The checkpoint and saturation patrols are in conjunction with the “Checkpoint Colorado” DUI enforcement weekend.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is committed to reducing the number of drunk drivers and alcohol-related accidents in Jefferson County and encourages everyone to drive safely and responsibly. |
