Re: Jeffco Fire Ban in effect at Open Space Parks
Following the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office implementation of a fire ban within the unincorporated County effective on Friday, May 26, 2006 at 8:00 a.m., Jefferson County Open Space will apply the same fire restrictions to the Open Space Parks. Only fires contained within liquid fueled or gas fueled stoves such as campstoves will be permitted in the campgrounds or picnic areas. Smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle or building, or while stopped in an area of at least three feet in diameter that is barren or cleared of all combustible material is strictly prohibited.
