Jefferson County, Colorado – At 10:10 a.m. on February 13, 2012, Jeffco deputies responded to Columbine High School at 6901 S. Pierce St. regarding an assault involving a hammer. Deputies arrived within one minute and arrested a 14-year-old female student for the attack.
Deputies located two injured students, a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old female; both had sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Both are expected to make a full recovery.
The juvenile suspect was photographed and fingerprinted at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and transported to Mount View Detention Center pending charges for 1st degree assault.
