The deadline to register to vote in the 2012 Primary Election is Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
The 2012 Primary Election, which is Tuesday, June 26, will be conducted as an all mail ballot election in Jefferson County. Ballots will be mailed to all eligible Jeffco voters affiliated with either the Democratic, Republican or American Constitution parties beginning on June 4. Voters registering after May 29 will be registered to vote, but will not be eligible to vote in the June Primary Election. If they miss the May 29 deadline, they will still be eligible to vote in the Nov. 6 Presidential Election if they are registered prior to Oct. 9.
Voters can register to vote or update their voter registration information by visiting any of the County Clerk’s branch locations, or online at www.GoVoteColorado.com or www.VoteJeffco.com.
“We are encouraging everybody who wants to vote in this election to make sure their registration information is up to date so they are eligible for both the Primary in August as well as the Presidential Election in November,” said Josh Liss, Jefferson County Deputy of Elections.
