Jefferson County, Co. – In early July, the West Metro Drug Task Force began investigating suspects who were distributing heroin throughout the Denver area and specifically Jefferson County. The age of the customer base was primarily young people in their late teens to mid-twenties, and detectives believe this group was distributing approximately ½ pound of Heroin on a weekly basis.
The method of distribution used by the group was to have customers call a central phone number, which was essentially a dispatch center for the drug runners. The drug runners were then sent to meet customers at various locations where the heroin was sold. Heroin would be distributed daily by this group to as many as 100 customers throughout the Jefferson County area to include Arvada and Lakewood.
Two Denver addresses were identified as being the residences of the suspects, and on September 14, 2012, search warrants were simultaneously executed at 7600 Tejon St., and 2030 W. 26th Ave. #2504. The result was the arrests of 4 suspects and the recovery of approximately 7 ounces of heroin with a street value of approximately $36,000. Detectives also seized approximately $7,000 in currency and vehicles.
All suspects are illegal Mexican Nationals and were jailed at the Jefferson County Jail. The West Metro Drug Task Force continues to investigate additional leads in this case. Mugshots of the suspects are below.
