A Jefferson County jury today found Timothy Eduard Schreiber, 48, guilty of Indecent Exposure, Public Indecency, Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. This was the sixth Indecent Exposure conviction for Schreiber. This Indecent Exposure count was a felony because he had two prior convictions for Indecent Exposure.
Schreiber was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure, a class six felony, by the Wheat Ridge Police Department in March, 2007. Police were called to a business where he had been observed exposing himself.
After he was arrested, police discovered that Schreiber had five prior convictions for Indecent Exposure and one conviction for Attempted Sexual Assault of a Child, all in Jefferson County. Schreiber has been exposing himself as far back as 1994 when he was first required to register as a sex offender.
In 2000 Schreiber was also convicted of Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child for unlawful contact with several under-aged girls at a park near a teen center. In the 2000 case Schreiber was sentenced to 4 ½ years in prison. Upon his release from prison, having served out his sentence, Schreiber was found by the Department of Corrections to be a Sexually Violent Predator.
Sentencing has been set for June 16, 2008. Schreiber could face up to 18 months in prison.
