Crews continue to reconstruct the west side of Jefferson County Parkway near the Administration and Courts Building. The old asphalt is being torn out to make way for the rest of the new road alignment and sidewalks.

Beginning Thursday, July 16, work will start on the Ballot Drop Off driveway replacement. This driveway will be closed as crews remove and pour the concrete driveway, install a fire hydrant and add a street light. Expect the Ballot Drop Off entrance to be re-opened by August 7.

From July 20 - August 7, the Delivery Entrance to the courthouse will also be rebuilt. Because of the large size, concrete will be poured in two halves. This two-stage construction will not interrupt access to the driveway by delivery trucks and county officials.

Sidewalks by each of these driveway construction zones will be closed.

• The sidewalk south of Jefferson County Parkway will be closed from Weimer Street to the RTD bus stop on the east side of the courthouse from July 20 – August 7.
• Visitors and employees may access the courthouse via the cafeteria entrance at the west side of the building from 7:00 am – 5:30 pm.
• The sidewalk located between the parking structure and the Ballot Drop Off will also be closed.
• RTD riders can still access the temporary bus stop from the sidewalks along the main courthouse entry between the parking structures.
• Both sidewalks are expected to re-open by August 7. 
• Finally, the sidewalk west of Johnson Road is expected to be poured and opened for public use during the week of July 20.
