Jefferson County Public Health, in partnership with Visiting Nurse Association, will hold the first of its series of school-located H1N1 clinics this coming Saturday, November 21, 2009. This is the one of the largest mass immunization efforts in Jefferson County Public Health’s 50 year history.
Thus far, over 35,000 people have been vaccinated against the 2009 H1N1 influenza virus via JCPH’s distribution to healthcare providers in the county. The school-located clinics are intended for those considered to be at highest risk for developing complications from influenza who are unable to access H1N1 vaccine through their healthcare provider or who do not have a healthcare provider.
The clinics will be on a first-come, first-served basis, shots or nasal spray will be provided free of charge. The goal is to vaccinate as many people as possible in the high-risk or "priority" groups. You can download your consent form from our clinic Web page and bring with you on day of clinic. You can also email us at publichealthclinics@jeffco.us and let us know which clinic you plan on attending and which priority group you or your children fall into.
Who Should Attend:

- People 25 through 64 years of age who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza related complications
