Jefferson County’s contractor, Technology Constructors, is currently mobilized on the Myers Gulch Road over Bear Creek to repair and widen the bridge south of SH 74. This is expected to continue through September 30, 2012.
There will be a full bridge closure on Monday, July 23, 2012, starting at 9:00 a.m. and continuing until 3:30 p.m., so that an old girder can be removed with a crane. All traffic that is northbound and southbound on Myers Gulch Road will be detoured west of the bridge via Columbine Trail and Avenue “F”.
No large semi-tractor trucks or larger trailers will be allowed through the detour due to the narrow roads and sharp turns. Alternate routes are advised using US 285 to Parmalee Gulch, or SH 74 in Evergreen. Passenger vehicles, trucks and delivery vans will be allowed through the detour.
Be prepared to stop as traffic is staged through the detour.
