The contractor has completed the majority of the construction on the section of new roadway on West Quincy Avenue, between Sout Kipling Pkwy. and Quincy Place, and it is scheduled to be open to traffic by the end of the day August 9. South Nelson Street from Nassau Ave. to W. Quincy Ave. will also be open.
The final phase of construction on West Quincy Ave. will then begin, causing West Quincy Ave., between South Simms St. and West Radcliffe Dr., to be closed. The South Simms St. roundabout will remain open.
Construction in the final phase of West Quincy Ave. is anticipated to be complete in November 2012. See the detour map for the project.
