156-count Indictment Returned in ID Theft Ring in Jeffco
District Attorney Pete Weir announced today that a Jefferson County grand jury has returned a 156-count indictment naming five women and eight men in an Identity Theft ring which operated in Jefferson County and the Denver metro area between April, 2012 and January, 2013.  Members of the enterprise are accused of stealing almost $26,000.

ID Theft Ringleader Nicole Bailey Sentenced to 14 Years Prison
District Judge Stephen Munsinger today sentenced the ringleader in a forgery and ID theft ring to 14 years in prison.  Between January 2004 and January 2005 Nicole Kathleen Bailey, DOB: 5-24-74, of Westminster, and  three codefendants created and forged or cashed over 260 checks to merchants in the Denver metro area such as King Soopers, Best Buy, Sam's Club, COSTCO, Dominos, Hobby Lobby, Walmart and the Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital.  Most of the checks were drawn on active accounts at Commercial Federal. The total losses were over $36,000.

District Attorney Scott Storey announced today that his Child Sex Offender Internet Investigations (CHEESO) unit has arrested another suspected sexual predator.  Dorne Grady Butts, DOB: 12-16-54, Lakewood, was arrested for Internet Luring of a Child and as Enticement of a Child.

Gwizdalski Sentenced 11 Years Prison Vehicular Homicide
Black Hawk resident Robert Casimer Gwizdalski, DOB: 020465, was sentenced to 11 years in prison for the death of 36 year-old Anthony ?Tony? Brandolino in Coal Creek Canyon.  Gwizdalski had been drinking and was driving westbound on Highway 72 in June, 2005 when he hit Brandolino who was riding his bicycle along the right shoulder.

Keason Cox convicted of two counts of Murder in the First Degree
Keason Burell Cox, DOB 10/22/1971, was today convicted by a Jefferson County District Court jury of two counts of Murder in the First Degree in the shooting deaths of two Lakewood women.  Cox was immediately sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Robert Edward Hill, DOB; 10-29-82, of Lakewood, was sentenced to Life in Prison plus 48 years for the beating death of 21-month-old Tivian Petefish in December, 2004.  Hill was charged as a habitual child abuser, having been previously convicted of shaking his own six-week-old daughter and causing a severe head injury in Broomfield County in 2003.
