Jefferson County Workforce Center (formerly Tri-County Workforce Center) is offering the free workshop entitled ?Learn How to Job Search in Cyberspace? on Thursday, January 11 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Workforce Center in Golden. Job searches have become the second most popular internet activity behind travel and retail. However, cyber-hunting is not without its drawbacks. Some experts say that there are now over 16 million resumes floating around the Internet. Monster.com, the largest online job board, has more than 20 million registered users. The site reports that on a typical Monday afternoon, more than 6 million people are looking for work. Job Hunting in Cyberspace will teach you how to differentiate yourself from the millions of resumes floating around the Internet and increase your chances for gaining notice and getting hired. |

Jefferson County Celebrating National Adoption Day - Finalizing 17 Adoptions Saturday, November 18 at 11:30 a.m.
Jefferson County ? There are many children waiting to be adopted across the country, here in Jefferson County 30 children hope the right family will come along to give them a permanent home. National Adoption Day is an opportunity to bring attention to the need for adoptive families. Jefferson County is celebrating National Adoption day by finalizing 17 adoptions on Saturday, November 18 at the Administration and Courts Building at 100 Jefferson County Parkway in Golden. |

Ternes Named Deputy Director of the Human Services Department
Jefferson County - Effective March 1, Cheryl Ternes has been named the deputy director of the Human Services Department of Jefferson County. In her new role as deputy director, she will oversee the operations of the Business Office and Community Assistance Divisions and administer the financial functions of the Community Assistance and Children, Youth and Families Divisions. |

Annual Youth Job Fair
More than 1500 youth, ages 14-21 are ready and waiting to work. The Youth Job Fair is a great opportunity to interview and hire youth for part-time, full-time, and summer employment. The fair also gives businesses a chance to advertise to more than a thousand youth and parents at no cost. The TricoYouthWorks' Youth Job Fair will be held on Tuesday, March 7 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds from 2pm to 6pm. |
