Jefferson County, Colorado ? On December 30, 2008 at about 9 p.m. an adult male walked into the Walgreens at 6789 W. Coal Mine Avenue and demanded drugs from the pharmacists.  The demand was made in the form of a note and given to one of the two employees behind the counter.

The suspect, a white male, 19-21 years-old, 5?6?-5?8?, blue eyes, short light brown hair and a goatee indicated he had a gun. The suspect was wearing a Broncos cap, hooded grey sweatshirt, black jeans and white shoes. The note demanded all of the oxycodone and OxyContin®.  After the suspect was given the medication he told the pharmacists to wait several minutes before calling the police. It appears the suspect left the store through the emergency exit.  A search of the area for the suspect was unsuccessful.

According to the U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Oxycodone is a Schedule II narcotic analgesic.  OxyContin® is a prescription painkiller used for moderate to high pain relief associated with injuries, arthritis, lower back pain, and pain associated with cancer.  Street names for OxyContin® are Kicker, OC, Oxy, OX, Blue, Oxycotton, Hillybilly Heroin.
