Jefferson County, Colorado ? On January 22, 2009 at approximately 12:10 p.m. two residents, returning from lunch, interrupted a burglary to their apartment near Hampden and Kipling.  One of the adult female victims saw one suspect carrying her Denver Broncos jacket and confronted him outside the building.  This suspect ran to a late 1990?s maroon Ford Explorer and sped away.

The other suspect was seen just outside the apartment door and told the victims he thought something was going on and that he would go to the office to get the maintenance man.  Jefferson County Sheriff?s deputies located the maintenance man.  He did not know anyone matching the descriptions of the suspects.

The victims? apartment had been completely ransacked.  A bag, filled with valuables, was near the front door.  The victims? closets and dresser drawers were open.  Cash and other small items were stolen.  It appears the suspects gained entry by removing a window screen and opening the window.

The suspects in this case are suspected in a series of similar burglaries in the area. They approach a house or apartment and knock on the door.  If someone answers the door then the suspects say they are looking for a friend and must have the wrong address.  If no one answers the door the suspects force entry through a window, or ?kick in? the door.

The suspects are described as:

#1 ? Hispanic male, 5?7?-5?9?, 165 lbs, short dark hair and thin mustache, wearing dark long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

#2 ? White male, 6?, 220 lbs, ?buzz cut? blond hair, wearing black and white striped polo shirt and blue jeans.
