Locksmith company in Evergreen burglarized
Businesses advised to add or check security measures
During the night of February 5, 2006 the Highland Mobile Safe and Lock Company in Evergreen was burglarized and their company van was trespassed. Several trade-related tools were stolen from inside of the business, to include slim-jims, lock picks and other car-opening devices. In addition, a lock box containing approximately 80 master keys labeled with the owners name and address was stolen.
The locksmith company and the Sheriff's Office are attempting to contact those people whose property was specifically compromised due to the burglary. It's important to note that although some people have become more at risk, the kinds of trademark tools stolen in the burglary could provide easy and unlawful access to any home or business.
Anyone with information about this burglary is urged to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at 303-271-0211.
