Re: Injured Jeffco Sheriff's investigator identified
Jefferson County, Co. – The Jefferson County Regional Auto Theft Task Force investigator injured yesterday during a vehicular assault is identified as 52-year-old Art Peterson.
Investigator Peterson, a Jeffco Deputy Sheriff since 1977, was injured while he and another task force investigator were trying to apprehend the driver of a stolen truck. The truck had been stolen earlier in the day. The truck was equipped with a vehicle locating device allowing law enforcement to track its location. More information concerning the assault on Inv. Peterson may be released by the Englewood Police Department.
Investigator Peterson is still in serious condition at Swedish Hospital. His immediate family, to include the entire law enforcement community, are encouraged by the improvements he has made in such a short time. |
