Re: Search and home invasion robbery connected

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has confirmed the connection between a daylong search along Hwy 285 and a home invasion robbery that occurred on February 27, 2006.  Three adult males have been arrested for a robbery that preceded the search.  The robbery took place at 13752 Colorado 8 at 5:30 a.m., in which two men and a woman sustained minor injuries.  A knife was displayed during the robbery but was not the cause of any injuries.

The Sheriff's Office became involved after Lakewood Police received a cellular 911 call from a man requesting help in the area of C470 and Colorado 8.  The caller identified himself as "Dylan" and told dispatchers he had been assaulted and abandoned along a roadside after being involved in a nearby robbery at a residence.  "Dylan" was lost and could only provide a general description of his location.  Authorities triangulated the cellular phone call and narrowed the search to the northwest corner of C470 and Highway 285 along the foothills.  The search involved over 70 personnel from the Sheriff's Office, Lakewood Police, State Patrol, Alpine Search & Rescue and Jeffco Open Space.  During the 12-hour search some items stolen from the robbery were recovered but "Dylan" was never located.  The search was stopped at dusk with the intention of resuming again in the morning.

A man named Dylan Anderson became a focal point for investigators after the victims of the home invasion robbery reported the incident to the authorities.  Media attention concerning Anderson's whereabouts and welfare led investigators to a tip that he could be found at the Super 8 Motel near W. Hampden Ave. & Wadsworth Blvd.  Anderson was located and taken into custody without incident.  Investigators now believe Anderson was not assaulted.

Sheriff's investigators have determined that Dylan Anderson, dob 04-17-84, Claud Kasiah, dob 04-19-79, and Gailon Kline, dob 09-19-79 forced their way into the above described residence looking for money. Kasiah and Kline were arrested without incident in an apartment located at 3410 E. 14th Ave. in Denver.

The suspects are being held at the Jefferson County Jail for:

1st Degree Burglary

2nd Degree Kidnapping

Aggravated Robbery
