Re: Jefferson County Sheriff conducts holiday DUI checkpoint
Jefferson County, Co. – On Saturday, September 4, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a DUI checkpoint, along with added saturation patrols over the Labor Day weekend.
The checkpoint will begin at approximately 7:00 p.m. and conclude at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 5. These times were selected because a large percentage of all DUI arrests made by Jefferson County agencies take place during these hours.
The checkpoint is in conjunction with “Checkpoint Colorado” DUI enforcement weekend and “The Heat is On” campaign.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is committed to reducing the number of drunk drivers and alcohol-related accidents in Jefferson County, and encourages everyone to drive safely and responsibly. |
