Re: Captain Jason Dahl memorial vandalized
Jefferson County, Co. – United Airlines Captain Jason Dahl was killed in the terrorist’s attacks on 9/11. He was the captain of United Flight 93 which crashed in Pennsylvania, and he and his family resided in the Ken Caryl Ranch located in unincorporated Jefferson County.
To honor Captain Dahl a memorial was placed at the intersection of Tamarade Drive and Valley Parkway. The memorial consists of a bronze statue of an eagle with its wings spread out, sitting atop a granite block.
Sometime between October 13 and 14, an unknown suspect broke the wings off of the eagle.
The Ken Caryl Community is offering a $1,500.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the party responsible for the vandalism.
If you have any information regarding this crime, please call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 303-271-0211. |
