Jefferson County, Co. – On December 2, 2010, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested a registered sex offender, Charles William Jenkins (dob 040966).  The arrest is a result of an investigation that started on November 30, 2010, when Jenkins was contacted in the company of a 15-year-old male victim.

Jenkins and the juvenile had been involved in a sexual relationship for several months, and had originally met in an on-line chat room.

Jenkins is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail pending charges of sexual exploitation of a child, sex assault on a victim 15 to 17 years old, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. His first court appearance is set for Friday, December 3, 2010 at 10:00 am.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is interested in hearing from any other potential victims of Jenkins. If anyone has had contact with Jenkins or is aware of any other victims, they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tipline at 303-271-5612.
