Two caught with hundreds of credit card receipts

Sheriff's Office seeking possible victims

On Friday, April 14, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies contacted two people at the Jefferson County Courts and Administration building as they were getting into a stolen vehicle.  Inside the vehicle deputies found a loaded handgun and various credit cards, passports, and social security cards as well as other forms of identification.

The receipts were from a courier truck that had been stolen on March 6, 2006.  The courier had been picking up the day's receipts from area merchants. The driver had left the vehicle running at a business in Denver when it was stolen.

At this time sheriff's investigators have identified Mimi's Caf in Loveland, the Yardhouse restaurant in Lakewood at Denver West and 24-Hour Fitness centers in Thornton, Green Mountain and Broomfield.  Investigators believe there may be more than two dozen other businesses whose daily receipts were stolen.

Jenna Horton, DOB 112884 and Brandon McAllister, DOB 011082 have been interviewed concerning their knowledge and use of the stolen items. Horton was released pending further investigation.  McAllister is being held at the Jefferson County Jail for Theft by Receiving, Criminal Impersonation, Possession of a Weapon and Possession of Controlled Substance.  

The Sheriff's Office asks anyone who patronized the above merchants on March 6 to carefully examine their credit card and bank statements for unauthorized use.  Also, anyone who receives mail or credit cards with Horton or McAllister's name should call Investigator Chris Nelson at
