Re: Jeffco Sheriff seeking public assistance in homicide investigation
Jefferson County, Co. – On August 17th Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Mt. Zion regarding a found body over the guardrail along the Lariat Loop. The body was discovered near the roadway by two bicyclists who stopped to rest along the shoulder of the road.
The 69-year-old male decedent has been identified as Richard Limon (dob 081442), a resident of Denver. Limon appears to be the victim of a stabbing and his death is being investigated as a homicide.
Sheriff’s investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in acquiring more information about Richard Limon. Anyone with specific knowledge of Richard Limon, or anyone who may have been in the area of Lookout Mountain on the 16th or 17th, and may have information pertaining to this investigation, is urged to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office tipline at 303-271-5612.
