Re: Thieves targeting open purses

Jefferson County, Co. – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office are asking for assistance in identifying suspects wanted for stealing wallets and credit cards from purses while the victims were distracted. On 9/15/11, a woman was having lunch at a Panera Bread restaurant in Sheridan, when two credit cards were stolen from her wallet that was in her purse. The wallet was left intact inside the purse. The cards were later used at a Target store in unincorporated Jeffco.   In a related case in Boulder County on 9/16/11, a wallet was stolen from a purse while the victim was shopping at a Costco in Superior. The credit cards from that wallet were later used at a Lowes in Louisville, and a Target in Superior. That report has been filed with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.   In both cases, video surveillance captured images of the same four suspects. Those images are attached.
