Jefferson County, Co. – On December 20, 2011 at about 10:10 p.m., a woman exited the Conoco store located at 5899 S. Alkire Street and was approached by a man with a gun. The man demanded the woman’s purse and car keys, which she handed to him. He got into her car, a 2004 black Audi with a manual transmission, and started it up. Fortunately for the victim, the suspect was unable to operate the stick-shift, and was unsuccessful at getting the car into gear.
The man then fled from the scene on foot, taking the purse with him. The purse is described as black and white with a Zebra striped pattern.
The suspect is described as a white male, between 22 to 25 years old, about 5’11” to 6’ tall with blue eyes and no facial hair. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood over his head. A composite sketch of the suspect is below.
