Jefferson County, Co. – In an effort to reach out to seniors in the community who may be more at-risk for becoming victims of crime, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will host their annual senior safety brunch. The brunch is free of charge and is open to Jefferson County residents.

Topics included at the Brunch will be:
Smart911: Will help create detailed personal profiles to aid emergency responders.
Alive at 55: Will explain a driving program that could reduce vehicle insurance by 15%.
AARP: Will provide information on financial exploitation of older Americans.
The Sheriff's Office: Will be on hand to offer prevention measures against the latest trends in scams and frauds; especially in the upcoming holiday season.
Other local community groups will provide additional safety information.
Free 911 emergency phones will be given to the first 50 guests!
Attendees may also bring unused, expired, or unwanted prescription pharmaceuticals for safe destruction.
