On Friday, December 22, 2006 the Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office arrested David Miera Jr., dob 06-17-88, of Sheridan, Colorado, for the December 17 shooting of Johnathan Roman MacLagan.  The murder took place in the front yard of 8997 W. Glasgow Pl when ?Roman? heard a commotion outside and went out to see what was happening.

The arrest of Miera occurred at his father?s home at 4103 S. Eliot by the Jefferson County Regional SWAT team.  Miera was taken to the Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office for questioning.  His father, David Miera Sr., was arrested for unrelated outstanding warrants and taken to the Arapahoe County Jail. 

Sheriff?s investigators have interviewed more than 60 partygoers.  Information obtained during those interviews indicated that Miera was responsible for the death of ?Roman.?  Investigators have more interviews to conduct but still want to talk with anyone else that may have information about the shooting.

Miera is being held at the Jefferson County Jail for the following:
- First degree murder
- Assault, domestic violence (Denver warrant)
- Violation of Retraining Order, domestic violence (Denver warrant)
- Contempt of Court, (Edgewater - Jefferson County warrant)

Miera will be advised of his charges on Tuesday, December 26 at 10 a.m.
