Open Space 2015-10-24 Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) named the 31-agency, multi-partner Be Wild, Jeffco coalition as a recipient of $75,000 in Tier 2 planning grant funds toward the Inspire Initiative to get kids off the couch and out the door, from backyard to the backcountry.
Transactions have been completed to add 36 acres near Meyer Ranch Park on the north side of Highway 285 and two large properties totaling 1,036 acres in the Douglas Mountain Area. These acquisitions, made possible through the Jeffco Open Space dedicated one-half of one percent sales tax, bring the agency’s holdings to 54,680 acres.
