Whether you like being indoors or outdoors, you can share your knowledge of nature or history by providing interpretive and information services at Lookout Mountain Nature Center, Hiwan Heritage Park, Pine Valley Ranch or at JCOS Parks.Nature and History Educator Information

Provide support to the Park Services section of Jeffco Open Space in ensuring clean, well-maintained and safe parks and amenities. Park Steward Information
We will coordinate projects for groups of 10 or more people, including corporate events during weekday hours. Through forest stewardship and clean-up projects, you will build camaraderie and better parks for today and tomorrow. "I helped make that trail." It’s part of the satisfaction that our volunteers enjoy after building and rebuilding trails. Satisfaction also comes from making social connections, exploring our natural world and learning the craft of building trails that last.

Please register for each Trail Day individually. Volunteers who register will receive a confirmation, along with more information and instructions about where to meet.
Arrive at the meeting place by 8 a.m. to complete registration. Projects begin promptly at 8:30. You can speed the process by completing our volunteer release of liability form . A parent or guardian's signature is required for volunteers under 18.
