Thank you for participating in our South Table Mountain Park Management Plan Open Houses. The process for developing an updated management plan for this property has included two public open house/information gathering sessions. The first was held in October 24, 2006 and the most recent on April 11, 2007. Staff received comments regarding the Plan and on April 3, 2008 Open Space Advisory Committee (OSAC) endorsed the Park Management Plan. To see the plan, select the links below.

The dominant features of this Open Space Park are the unusual rock outcroppings that characterize the mesas of the Golden area. A trail leads to the mesa top from a walk-in trailhead at the west terminus of Foothills Circle. Until recently, only a small portion of the mesa on the east side was owned and managed by Open Space. Conservation Easements acquired from the State of Colorado and the US Department of Energy allow for trail connections. In 2004, Open Space worked through the Trust for Public Lands to acquire Coors Brewing Company holdings on South Table Mountain. Presently, less than 400 acres remain in private ownership.
Open Space encourages park visitors to respect private property boundaries, do not trespass.
It is your responsibility to know and obey Open Space rules and regulations. Users assume liability for all risks associated with visiting this Open Space area. Responsible use protects this resource for all citizens of Jefferson County.
