Jefferson County Urban Trails
Jefferson County Urban Trails consist of trail routes that may not be located entirely within an Open Space Park boundary. Some of these trails run along right of ways and are not considered a trail system unto themselves. Many of these trails are segments of a system that will someday form a comprehensive countywide trail network.
The following is a list of some urban trails:
- Clear Creek/32nd Avenue Trail connects the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt to Golden.
- Columbine Bikeway connects Chatfield State Park and Centennial Trail(C-470 Bike Trail System).
- Golden Bikeways
- South Kipling Bikeway connects Centennial Trail to the Kipling Parkway Trail (North Kipling).
- Kendall Bikeway connects to the Leawood Bike Trail.
- Leawood Bikeway connects to Kipling Parkway via Lilley Gulch Trail.
- Pioneer Trail will connect Evergreen Lake to Bergen Park.
A good reference for Denver front range trails is the "Urban Trails in Colorado, Denver Metro Area Map" put out by the Colorado Division of Parks & Recreation and the Colorado Lottery.
