Climbing

Climbing Management Guideclimb3

Climbing is allowed in some Open Space Parks. However, climbing is prohibited in South Valley Park's red rock outcrops and the White Ranch Park/Ralston Buttes sensitive area. 

The Parks listed below are subject to seasonal closures and climbing is prohibited during these times.

  • Cathedral Spires, seasonal raptor nesting closures may occur in the Spring  
    Note: Use established climbing access trails on  Denver Water properties to get to Cathedral     Spires Park
  • Mt. Lindo, seasonal raptor nesting closures
  • Clear Creek Canyon, some upper cliffs subject to seasonal raptor nesting closures
