Youth Work Program Summer of 2011 

June 13 - July 28   Monday - Thursday - 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. 
 
The application process for the 2011 YWP Season ended March 31, 2011.  Applications will not be accepted following the March 31, 2011 close of business or postmarked deadline.

Jefferson County Opens Space provides opportunities to young people with summer employment in seasonal trail maintenance and construction.  County youth develop a positive work ethic by being introduced to the rewards and realities of the working community within this nationally acclaimed program. 

Eligible youth must be age 14 to 18 and a resident of Jefferson County, be in good health, be punctual, prepared with assigned gear each day, able to follow verbal direction and have transportation to and from the Open Space facilities. 

For the 2011 Youth Work Program selection from the pool of applicants will be drawn on April 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jefferson County Open Space offices, 700 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden.  Attendance is not required.

2011 YWP Orientation has been scheduled for June 1, 6:30 p.m. at the Jeffco Fairgrounds, 15200 West 6th Ave., Golden, CO.
